About Our School

Welcome to South River! South River Middle School is a grade 6 to 8 middle school with approximately 525 students. Our school is located in the small town of South River, which is surrounded by the larger communities of East Brunswick and Sayreville. This smaller size gives our school that "home-town" sense of community where the families know one another and fosters a true sense of community that is evident in our school every day.

We provide a variety of physical and mental activities to strengthen the mind and body of the middle school level student. We strive to enhance the education as well as emotional well-being of all of our students as they transition to students at South River High School and on to their college and career choices. It is our goal to help students learn to use their minds well, so that they will be prepared for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment in our modern economy.
